I recently got my other halfs 4s and keeping my old iphone 4.
I want to have jams with them both running together, maybe one with arpist running sunriser and the other phone DM1 for maximum tweekag.
Is it possible to have both phones synced somehow for midi?

Yes.
But you will need to buy some additional hardware.
Possible configurations
2 iphone midi interfaces like the line6 midi mobiliser 2 or ik irig midi
Camera connection kit and usb to midi lead and an iphone midi interface
You will also need at least one gender changer to connect the 5 pin din to 5 pin din.
There's probably many other ways to connect the 2 but I use the 2nd one.

Nice one, thanks for info. I am willing to buy kit for this, I need a 2 into one thing for headphones too.
I did think maybe it could be done wirelessly without being tied to home wifi.

If both of the iPhones had been 4s models ( or newer) then you could have used an app called Appolo but that needs bluetooth le which started on the 4s.
You could TRY
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/syncmix ... 36875?mt=8
To get Dm1 to start in synch via WIST (if you do, let me know how you got on )

SyncMix does look interesting if it can receive midi clock messages from an app on same phone to then send out via Wist.
It did also say on web site about always needing devices needing a cable connected to the headphone output at all times so I am not sure if i can still use phone app is on to play anything else. I will look into this and post outcome.

"Apollo will not work on the iPad 1 and 2, or on the iPhone 1, 3g, 3gs, or 4."
and the original post was about an iphone 4 and a 4s
