if you have kontakt: start exploring the world percussion section. it is really of very good quality, I doubt that 3rd party libs are much better. Actually, I believe that with percussion selecting a good (convolution) reverb is very essential to make it alive. Also Battery (V3) has some decent percission. So I would suggest to first invest a little time in sound design and then look elsewhere if you are not satisfied. and yes, jamcussion could be worth the investment - for it percussion "brain" ...

Percussion, from Latin percuss- ‘struck forcibly’, from the verb percutere, from per- ‘through’ + quatere ‘to shake, strike’.
