Can you advice me a sound card for good sound quality of my music, that i export from Cubase 5 in WAV? Please. My PC: AMD FX-8350, 8 GB RAM, ASUS M5A78L-M LX3, Radeon HD 6700, Win 8 64x. Thanx

What is your budget?
Are you working 100% in the box? i.e. plug-ins only? Or do you record live instruments or hardware synths?
When working 100% ITB the quality of the sound card will not affect your exports to disk. It will have a small effect on what you hear through your speakers, though.
Peace,
Andy.

The NI interfaces sound great ... Audio Konnect 6 should do the job.

No soundcard will have effect over exported audio, that is done inside the daw.
The difference in A/D can be better when you record your synths thorugh preamps, and the D/A conversion improves so little you mioght not notice it at all.

A simple 2 in 2 out with a pre and headphone is all you need.

While I use a Scarlett 2i2, I would second the recommendation for the UR22. Same level of quality, but it also has MIDI I/O. Nothing wrong with the Scarlett, but the Steinberg gives you more for slightly less money.

No. As others have said, the exported WAV files are always the same quality if you export them with the same DAW. The sound card doesn't export (create) them, the software does. It doesn't need a sound card at all to do that. What you hear, though, depends on your sound card (and headphones/speakers).

If you haven't seen it already, there is a similar question in this thread:

... with some great recommendations.
For something closer to the high-end, check our RME - but the price is also much higher than the mid-range people typically recommend.
Peace,
Andy.

I'm using Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and while I quite like it, I'd rather recommend Steinberg UR22. Especially if you're using Cubase.
