Hello

I'm work mainly with 3D graphics.
I always stay in the front of problem: how to sounds growing objects, building things etc...

I change pitch, add some noise with change colours, put volume up...

Any new idea for things like this?

thx, sng.pol46@gmail.com

Add reverb and modulate a filter on the beat.

I'll try. I can imagine it.

I mean rather building an atmosphere regardless of musical style.
Sometimes exactly in my graphic builds something, object increases, grow up.
Size of objects grow up & then I have to create music for it.

eg: https://vimeo.com/23259282

Typically, the sound is a total abstraction. That's the way I'm looking for... :)

Any other ideas?

ps. I'm bored to use noise oscilator & sweep it/use filter/modulate volume...

Too bored to make the sound you are asking for? What are you exactly asking for? A preset?

Post

No preset. I ask about idea, music tips for create atmosphere of uprising/ascending/growing up...

1st tip: changing pitch
2nd tip: use filter...
...???

Try reverse reverb maybe ?

Post

Yea, I did it.
Sorry guys for my problem & stupid question... :)

Build ups can be very creative work, so there are many ways. Ambient generators can do a lot of work here. For example you can create two matching layers of synthesized or sampled ambiances and animate a simple low pass filter on one of these, maybe with some slight lfo on it. To finish up creation you can end it with some crazy sfx (like the ones i heard in the video clip you posted). The cool thing with ambiance generators is, that they really create a wide variety of soundscapes you can use for this kind of effects.

Pitch effects, reverse tapes, reverse hall... automated HP filter... some stuff needs tools (a lot easier instead of trying this manually)
IMO it's not only the effect and it needs a volume automation/filter automation of some synth too

I use VirutTI...

This small thing grab my half life :)

Sounds which start out undefined and dissonant and grow in volume/rise in pitch as they become more coherent and recognizable as a tone often give the impression of something growing and coming together.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

AH DZIZ!

Yes... good idea.

Your idea + reverse reverb... let's try! :)

How about a reverse crash cymbal?

Post

All reverses are good.
I use it a lot, but I try to find something different.
I use quite chords, which build atmosphere of fear, mystic, "back home" :) etc

But building up effect was quite hard for me.

I hope I will be able to put those movie over YT, so I will post the link.
Thah You will judge! :)

You know, I just started to having fun with music, effects, so - sorry for stupid questions.
