In a nutshell
Blue Eq is a detailed emulation of vintage-revisited semiconductor equalizer, inspired by legendary British devices. For the first time ever, this well known EQ will be available in-the-box, and with a gorgeous original GUI.
Originally equipped with germanium, this EQ sounds thick & huge with its beefy bottom, musical mid-range and “expensive” air.
Modeled after an incredible EQ heard on many hit records, this unit has both passive and active signal paths.
This meticulously created VST version will help you transform your tracks from near-perfect to amazing.
The BLUE EQ features an accurately emulated selection of bands and frequencies you can choose from.
The Low Frequency Band with a range from 30 up to 220Hz, switchable from bell to shelf, the Mid-Range Band
with frequencies ranging from 300Hz to 8300Hz, and the High Frequency Band, which features a bell and shelf mode,
ranges from 3200Hz up to the highest point of 20.000Hz.
Beside the precise modeling of sound and features, you will also get authentic harmonic distortions that the original unit imparts so beautifully.
This is a very unique and musical sounding eq, suitable for mixing, mastering, and any other creative sound processing.
We call it “The Rock'n'Roll Box” because it is so full of character and creative sound shaping possibilities.
Overview
Low Shelf: This switch inserts a Low Frequency Shelf Filter with 0-9dB of adjustable gain. This frequency represents the punch in bass drums, bass guitar, fat synths and some really serious male singers.
Low Bell: This switch inserts a Low Frequency Bell Filter, it provides 0-9dB of adjustable gain at the frequency determined by its frequency knob.
High Shelf: This switch inserts an High Frequency Shelf Filter with ±10dB of adjustable gain.
High Bell: This switch inserts an High Frequency Bell Filter with ±10dB of adjustable gain at the frequency determined by its frequency knob.

Anyone know what thing is supposed to emulate? I thought it was a Neve at first but I'm not quite so sure now...

I bought the silk eq, very happy with that one, have to probably snap this one up too It's great that OS X versions are out now too (though vst only at the moment, but it's ok with my host)
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

I still don't understand what it's supposed to emulate but I guess I'll download the demo if one is available.sales@acusticaudio.net wrote:Visit our forum for more details...AudioGuy720 wrote:There has to be some kind of lost in translation thing going on here!realmarco wrote:...what ?sales@acusticaudio.net wrote:

By the way, I want to commend your company on its copy protection scheme that I read about on your forum. Memory leaks and a malware = awesome way to deal with the thieves. SEVEN YEARS developing piracy protection...wow! Very cool stuff...no sarcasm at all I love karma.

no, protection was coded several years ago... I don't even remember when we did it. Anyway we add things here and there quite often. Little things. Almost all software is protected, nothing new here. About the emulated device, the original appears pretty similar, you should find it easily on google. We were "inspired" by a british eq, a "true" british one.

By the way, ALL of your GUIs are gorgeous. So photo realistic! It's the closest thing to looking at real hardware.AudioGuy720 wrote:It took me a bit to figure it out. EMI TG12345

As we already did for the VST, we have planned to support all AU versions before the end of 2014.
