I have two sound examples of a pretty similar synth sound which I can´t exactly figure out.
Maybe some of you can help? It would be very appreciated :)
Here we go:
https://soundcloud.com/audiojackofficia ... chine-code
The sound I´m searching for is pretty good audible from 1:19.
Second example:
https://soundcloud.com/paulwoolford/ero ... dense-pika
The same sound, pretty much audible from the start.
What do you think what it is?
It´s not a synth put through a vocoder, that I´m pretty sure of.
Is it a bass sound with an ultrashort delay (~2 ms) with the delay time modulated via s&h or some step sequencer?
Any hints on recreating that sound are very welcome :)

Yeah, the second one is made with a delay, short time modulated, as you say.

Hey, thanks pal!
It´s not that easy to find a vst delay where so short delays can be realized. Actually, Waldorf's d-pole is the only one I found. On the other hand, I could just re-route the audio to a send and use some latency compensation...

Melda MMultiBandDelay (also MMultiBandGranular) can go continuously anywhere between 0ms and >100ms. They are excellent for this, I used them to get a similar effect.

I'd also recommend this one:

@cc: thanks, I´ll try it!

@MeldaP: lol, you really do recommend your own product, don't you

But why the multiband compressor? If you have nothing to contribute on the topic, then just don't - and above all, don't spam.
