Using XP, MSIE 8 is the latest you can run.
Until recently it worked fine(month or so ago).
What happends is:
When there are more lines of text than room on screen - each keyboard entry scrolls edit window up - so current row become invisible.
This happend on every keystroke on lines outside visible area.
And if you manually scroll down again to see what you wrote - next keystroke scrolls up again.
Unusable...
(this I write with an old Firefox).
Thanks.

So you found a work-around, good!lfm wrote:Unusable...

Otherwise I'd suggest to ditch IE and switch to Chrome.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

I'm sure Chrome is good for the job - but just feel Google know almost everything about my whereabouts, and don't want to give away the last privacy I have.
My Android phone probably report just about everything to Google as well - being forced to register a Google account and everything.
I tested with a bunch of browsers - and found IE do the least funny stuff regarding connections allover. Microsoft probably dare not due to they are examined quite a bit in Europe and fine them for things all the time. Take TcpViewer and look at all connections established and you'll see.
I ran Maxthon for a while - but saw that an ip-adress established all the time was to something called ChinaCache - is that maybe financed by China to spy on citizens all over using this browser.

More or less, yes. It's Chromium without all things Google.robojam wrote:It's basically Chrome with all the tracking turned off isn't it?farlukar wrote:Maybe iron instead of chrome?
