From the vid's I've seen I'm not liking em.

Kala ...Kala
Of all the uke makers out there Kala somehow seems "truer"

I don't really know what good means with respect to a uke, but I like the styling. If I could get a guitalele that looked like this with the built in pickup, I'd buy it. At this point I think I've played my cheapo Yamaha guitalele more hours than all of guitars that I've had less than five years and I've only had the guitalele about a year. I'm not a purist though, so YMMV.

I have no right to call myself a uke purist as I haven't had one in 20+ years

That being said ... This is how a ukelele should sound to me.

I just didn't get that vibe from the fender demo's, Maybe it's me and I'm stuck in a perceptual rut of how I think they should sound.

Never tried one, but I've never been impressed with any of the Fender acoustic guitars that I've played. There's something not quite right about them and they don't have great tone at all.

I'm right there with you on that one Mike.

Shortly after I got my Godin LR Baggs I was in GC and I saw the backside of a fender semi-acoustic as I was approaching it I asked the sales guy about it. He turned the guitar around and there I saw the fender logo on the headstock. I tried it out and said "Sorry no comparison I've got a godin that blows this out of the water. He thought I was bullshitting him. I brought it in and let him play it. He was floored by the Godin.

I like the headstock on them (fender acoustics). But a headstock does not a guitar make.

You could always get a Godin ukulele...

For a cheap ukulele, I like Beaver Creek. I got a tenor for $60 and while it doesn't sound great it's very playable. My more expensive ukuleles are custom ones made by either my friend or his dad. I would recommend them, but they're... far from inexpensive.

If you want to be overwhelmed by reviews: http://ukulelehunt.com/buy-ukulele/cate ... le-brands/

Or if you just want to play the same ukulele that Pierce Brosnan plays:

the old free version may not work boots successfully on new generations of computers, instruments, and hardware

Those look nice. I have a godin bolt on strat-a-like that I'm quite fond of. For me, though, I like the guitalele format and I'd like on in that body style with a pickup.

Hello,
I find it a good guitar, it sounds perfect if you use the right amplifier....
Then, I would play a song from here : https://www.ukulele-tabs.com (https://www.ukulele-tabs.com)
