How to add music player in forum?

Post

insert your mp3 link between the and and it will appear as the music player...

http://www.yourhost.com/yoursong.mp3

Post

Yep! that must be a direct link to an MP3 file (or OGG file, I guess...)

Perhaps it needs to be added that Flash is required for that to work.

edit: I'll post it in "Site stuff"

I tried this with Soundcloud but it doesn't seem to work.

Do I need to remove some text at the start?

Thanks

Post

Got it.

Needed to add .mp3 at the end.

You dont need the [URL] container for soundcloud player tracks.
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

Sorry to hijack this, but why is it that most of the time, the player won't play? Problems on the server containing the music? Or is it the play itself which doesn't work 100%? Using Firefox here, if that matters, and in 60% of the cases, the music won't play when i click it. I have to add though that i use the NoScript addon in Firefox, maybe i have to allow scripts for the server containing the music also?

So how do you do it please, as my track will not play?

Maybe you added a https to your URL. It needs to be http afaik. Edit: Oh, i see you're talking about the Soundcloud player now. Thought you meant the forum audio player, nevermind then.

Just post the link to your track.

http://soundcloud.com/artistname/trackname

KVR does the rest.

I checked the link in your sig to see if I could use one of your tracks, and the fact that it says "mechanism hasn’t shared any public sounds" makes me wonder if that's your problem, though.
