Soundiron has updated Requiem Light. The new version 2.5 update adds Kontakt 5 TM Pro tempo-syncing, time-stretching, extended key ranges and legato cross-fade blend control for all Latin lyrical content.
Requiem Light is a virtual choir library for Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player. It comes in both Powered-By-Kontakt and the standard Kontakt open format. It is designed for trailer, soundtrack and symphonic scoring. This 40-member male/female choir was recorded in a cathedral with veteran choral conductor Robert Geary of the SF Choral Society and Volti.
The library contains a variety of vowel sustains and polyphonic true legato from pp to fff, with separate male/female sections, staccato with 2X round-robin, sustaining ultra forte marcatos with release, custom staccato phrase-builder, Latin chants ("poly-sustains") recorded at different speeds across the entire interval of choir with playable real-time 3-part polyphonic legato functionality. It also includes hundreds of choral effects, whispers, shouts, clusters, demonic chants, sweeps, consonants, claps, snaps and more. With a unique bonus collection of choral ambiences and synth-like choral pads, this library extends beyond a traditional choir plugin. Requiem Light was recorded using multiple microphone pairs throughout the hall and has been mixed and mastered into a single optimized stereo blend that provides natural power and body. Requiem Light is designed to deliver a professional choir library in an easy-to-use control interface, while remaining light on system resources.
Requiem Light contains 3,960 Samples and 89 .nki instrument files. Both versions of this library are available by Direct Download or DVD. Kontakt 4.2.4 or later is required for both Player Edition and Standard Format versions of this library. Kontakt 5.0.2 or later is recommended to allow the use of all included TM Pro presets.
Pricing
Requiem Light Player Edition is compatible with Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player and is eligible for a special discounted Kontakt Cross-Grade offer from Native Instruments. It's on sale for $350 through May 14th, 2012.
Requiem Light Standard Format requires the full retail version of Kontakt and is not supported by Kontakt Player. It's on sale for $324 through May 14th, 2012.
