ModeAudio has released Detroit Chords - Synth Samples & Patches, a 1.35GB collection of synth chord, pad and bass samples organised into 130 instruments for Ableton Live, Reason & Logic Pro.
Sampled from analog hardware and digital synths, each synth chord instrument is presented in one harmonic flavour as well as a plainer 5ths chord version. Chord variants cover the spectrum of jazzy, soulful harmonies heard in classic Detroit House tracks, such as maj 7, minor 9, add 9, add 11 and more, including inversions.
The samples have been produced and processed to reflect the warm, dusty sound of vintage House, and are accompanied by 5 channel strip settings to offer instant processing options for the user:
